MARION LANE AND THE MIDNIGHT MURDER CONTEST!

I HAVE A CONTEST FOR YOU!!! This is my first in a while and I am SO EXCITED to share with you. It's, also, a tad outside my comfort zone as it's historical but as soon as Ellen from Orion emailed me, I knew I had to do involved in this with this book!

Marion Lane and the Midnight Murder is the first book in a new series that is a tad historical, a dah murdery and is a little weird. In the best way.

London, 1958. Hidden under the 1958's streets of London is the world of Miss Brickett's, a secret detective agency. Here, apprentice detectives must undergo rigorous training to equip them with skills, knowledge and tricks to help them solve mysteries that will stump London's Police.

But when her friend and mentor is arrest on suspicion of murder, 23-year-old apprentice Marion Lane is tasked to clearing his name. But her investigation will put her and her friends in danger as her investigation takes into the out-of-bound maze of unchartered tunnels that surround Miss Brickett's, and Marion discovered that these tunnels contain something more than secrets...

See? Now you see why I had to be involved!

And guess what? If the blurb has wetted your appetite, this is where my contest comes in! I have ONE COPY of the book to give away to ONE lucky winner. All you have to do is fill in the GoogleForm below and, after a few days, I will pick a random winner using a random number generator.

Now, before I go further, I need to say one or two things (it's been a while since I've done this). The contest is for UK address only as the publisher will be sending the winning copy out once I have the winner's address. Contest will be open till Friday 28th May 2021 at 7pm. Winner will then be selected at random from random number generation and will be announced on my Twitter (@PewterWolf), then will be emailed for address (and don't worry about address being kept on file after the winner get their winning copy. You address will be deleted straight after).

I don't think am forgetting anything... no, wait. How do you enter? Just fill in the GoogleForm below. And that's it. Keep eyes peeled for news of the winner and keep your fingers crossed. Good luck, y'all!!!

Superpowers Don't Always Make You A Hero

SURPRISE! I have a slight curveball for you guys today as it doesn't exactly fit with my Believathon reading of children's books, nor does it fit with my Nanowrimo! I HAVE A CONTEST FOR YOU GUYS!

Those lovely people at Electric Monkey and I got chatting on Twitter recently about the third and final book in the Monster trilogy, Hero. I admitted that I hadn't read this trilogy nor the previous series this follows, the Gone series (PUT THOSE PITCHFORKS AND TORCHES DOWN!) but I wanted to do something as I know some of you guys LOVE this series. "Could I host a small contest or something for Hero?" I ask and they replied, stupidly fast, "Why not do a contest for the whole trilogy?"

So, dear reader, I am hosting a small contest where one winner will win the entire MONSTER trilogy!

Now, before I go any further, let me chat what this series is about. Set after the dramatic conclusion of the Gone series, we follow Shade who witness the dome coming down, thinking that it would be the end of the troubles. How very wrong everyone was. Shade swears to never feel powerless again and then, four years later, she finds part of the meteor that began it all and discovers that she is changing, mutating...

And that's where the real troubles begins...

Actually, let me throw this book trailer up. That might explain better than me!

So, to co-inside the release of the final book in the trilogy, Hero, Electric Monkey is letting me do a contest where one winner will win the entire MONSTER trilogy!

Now, before I go any further with rules (it's been a while since I've held a contest on the Pewter Wolf so bear with me), I do want to say that I have been told this trilogy does come with trigger warnings for violence.

Ok, now the rules/boring stuff. To enter the contest, you need to fill in the GoogleForm below. This is a UK address only contest and the contest will close on Friday 15th November 2019 at 7pm! The winner will be chosen at random using random.org, and then will be announced on Twitter. The winner will, then, be emailed by me to get their address so Electric Monkey can send them out! And don't worry - once all that's done, all info will be deleted.

All good? Any questions, pop me an tweet/email and will answer the best I can. All that is left to say is GOOD LUCK and may the odds ever be in your favour.

Surprise Glass Town Wars Contest!

CONTEST TIME!!! Yes, I know I don’t do these often and I have done a contest last month (what’s going on!?), but you can thank the lovely people at Puskin Press for this contest!

When Mollie for Puskin emailed me and asked if I fancied reading Glass Town Wars, I jumped at it for two reason. First, the author. Celia Rees is an author I am curious to read and with her novels - Witch Child, Sorceress, and Pirates! - on my radar, I was curious on how she would write this novel, which feels very modern. And the second reason is that this book is inspired by the early writings of the Brontës, which intrigued me hugely.

Now, because I have a lot of books to read and I planned for November to be my NetGalley November (aka I’m trying to take control of my reading and am going to fail), I wanted to give this book a bit of noise so asked if I could do a contest. And here we are - CONTEST TIME!!!

But first, you’ll want to know more about the book. Glass Town Wars follows Tom and Augusta, who are from two very different places and two very different times. But they meet n a virtual world to combine forces in battles to save the kingdom and, along the way, find love and escape deceit. But in a place where truth can be fiction, learning who is trust is about more than friendship: it’s about survival…

Now, I have THREE COPIES to give away, thanks to Puskin Press. And all I ask you to do is fill in the form below. The winners will be chosen at random via random.org and the contest closes  Sunday 4th November 2018 at around midday. The winners will be announced on Twitter and I will email them as well so the publisher can send the books to them. And this is a UK only contest.

Good luck to you who enter!

SURPRISE OTHERWORLD CONTEST!

SURPRISE CONTEST TIME!!!

I know, it’s rare I do these now but while chatting to the lovely people at Rock The Boat about if I should read Otherearth, the second book in the Otherworld or Last Reality trilogy by Jason Segel and Kirsten Miller (even though I haven’t read Otherworld yet. I know, I keep putting it off for one reason or another - hope to correct this before the year is out!), we got chatting about the series and a few others they publish and I said something along the lines of “I would love to do a contest. Maybe this will be the kick up the behind I need to read this!” and Rock the Boat, seeing that I might need a push went “Ok”.

So now, I have no excuse now not to read this before the end of the year as I’m doing a contest!

For those unsure of Otherworld, Otherworld is a game. Expect, it’s not. It’s addictive and will make you want to stay forever and make your dreams come true. Otherworld isn’t a game. It’s the next phase of reality and no one saw it coming.

It’s an sci-fi thriller (best way to describe it) and am intrigued on what you guys think of this. So, the lovely people at Rock the Boat have given me the chance to give away up to FIVE signed copies. FIVE! And all you have to do it fill in the form below.

Ok, boring stuff time. This is a UK only contest. Sorry, but this is due to publishing rights. There can only be a max of five winners (In the past, I barely get two or three people enter some of my contest, hence me airing on the side of caution). The contest will end on Sunday (7th October 2018) around midday(ish) and winners will be picked at random via random.org. I will tweet the winners and will email them for their address so Rock The Boat can send the winners their winning copy.

Now, go forth and enter. I wish you luck and hope the odds and the Company are in your favour!

Death Is Not Enough Contest

I have a contest for you guys! And it's not YA. I know! But I want to try new things with my reading and, as you guys know, I like dipping in and out of crime and this author keeps catching my eye so, as soon as I saw this on BookBridgr, I knew it was time!

Death Is Not Enough is the sixth book in the Baltimore series (but I've been told you can read these as standalones) and this sounds like a neck-breaker of a read!

Defence attorney Thomas Thorne knows violence all his life. He has overcome these with determination and is ready to left his guard down and finally let the woman he always admire from afar into his life.

But his world is torn apart when he is four in his own bed with a lifeless body of a stranger lying next to him, her blood all over his hands. But his friend, Gwyn Weaver, knows Thorne could never commit such a terrible crime. So she and his friends rally round to clear his name, but someone has a deadly vendetta and they're not going to stop till they've destroy Thorne...

This sounds dark and Mctwisty as heck. Perfect for me! I can't wait to find time to dive into this novel. But, to wet my appetite, the lovely people at Headline are allowing me to do a small contest to give away a copy of Death Is Not Enough.

Ok, boring stuff now. I have only one copy to give away and this contest is a UK and Ireland only contest. This contest will close at 3pm this coming Sunday (Sunday 27th May 2018). The winner will be chosen at random via random.org. I will tweet and email the winner to get their address so the publisher can send the winner their copy of Death Is Not Enough.

If you're going to enter, I wish you good luck and hope that the odds are in your favour!

Shatter Me Contest!

CONTEST TIME!!! And it's a good'un! I promise!

After years of hype and excitement in the US, a UK publisher - Electric Monkey - finally picked up the rights to publish the Shatter Me series in the UK. And not only are we getting the trilogy, Tahereh Mafi is writing an extra three books within this world as TV studios write a TV pilot based on the world.

For those who aren't aware of this series, Shatter Me follows Juliette, a girl who has been held prisoner in a cell without human contact for over 200 days. Why? Because her touch is lethal. Anyone who touches her will fall red within seconds. If she wasn't a threat, she would be the perfect weapon. But something expected happens that no one sees coming...

A boy touches her. And he survived her touch...

The series follows her journey from there, continuing through Unravel Me and Ignite Me. The fourth book in the series, Restore Me, sees Juliette and those who survive thinking the war they fought in is over. How very wrong they are...

If that doesn't wet your appetite, here's a trailer to feast your eyes on...

Get it? Feast your eyes on... yeah, I'll see myself out...

Anyway, to celebrate the release of the series so far coming to UK bookshops, the lovely people at Electric Monkey have given me the series so far to give away! One lucky winner will win a copy of Shatter Me, Unravel Me, Ignite Me & Restore Me!

Ok, the boring info-dump time! For you to enter contest, fill in the form below. That's it. Nothing more than that. Although, heads up, this is a UK addresses only contest, and this contest will end on Thursday 22nd March 2018 at 7pm. The winner will be chosen at random via random.org and will be announced on Twitter. Once done, will email the winner for details for the books can be posted to them as soon as the publisher can.

With that out of the way, good luck and may the odds be ever in your favour.

They Both Die At The End Contest

I don't normally write blog posts at the weekend. I try and make weekends be blog free (posting, I mean. Writing blog posts is mostly at weekends), but today, I'm hosting a contest!

I am, via the lovely Hannah at Simon and Schuster UK, giving away three advance reader copies of THEY BOTH DIE AT THE END by Adam Silvera to give away. Oh, and they're signed as well. Just an extra magical touch.

Now, if you haven't heard of this, THEY BOTH DIE AT THE END follows Mateo and Rufus. Both get the dreaded call from Death-Cast, sadly informing them that today is their last day alive. Alone and isolated, the two boys reach out via an app and, together, they spend their last day on earth together... Living their lives to the full... Neither expecting that this would include falling in love...

Does that sound wonderfully heartbreaking?

If you want to win one of three signed advance reader copy, all you have to do is fill in the form below! This is a UK only contest (sorry international readers. I am planning a contest for you guys in the coming months!) and you had till 5pm on Thursday 17th August! The winners will be picked at random via random.org and will be emailed sometime that evening to get contact information (aka how the publisher can send your winning book!).

All that is left to say is good luck!

The Left Hand Easter Contest

Who's in the mood for a Easter giveaway?

Ok, quick contest time! The lovely Stevie at Gollancz has given me a copy of the newly rejacketed The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K LeGuin to do a tiny giveaway!

For those who don't know about this book (I didn't till a few months back), this is written by the author of the well-loved Earthsea series and is deemed by many as one of the great science fiction stories. On a planet that is in constant winter, Gently Ai observes its people. They are androgynous - neuter in general but can become either male of female at the peak of their sexual cycle. They seem alien to Gently Ai, but he is slowly pulled into the complex politics of the planet and losses his professional detachment and must cross the ice with a politician who has fallen from favour and been outcast... But what will happen when they get to the other side...

Intrigued? Well, I have one copy to giveaway and this contest is a UK only contest (Soon, international readers! I promise I will do an international contest soon!). This contest will close on Easter Monday at 5pm and will be chosen at random by random.org! Will Announce winner via Twitter and will be email them for their address so the publisher can send it directly to you (no middle person [aka me!]).

To those of you entering, good luck. And may the odds be in your favour!

Ok, this is a lazy post today as I'm not reading as much as I should be reading and have rediscovered gaming (weird, I know). But the lovely people at Scholastic wanted me to let you guys know that they are hosting a contest in a similar vine of the Vision Boards you've been seeing throughout the tour (if you want know what I mean by Vision Board, check out my stop in the tour that went up yesterday!)

Now, before I show you what Scholastic sent me in the email, let me remind you this is Scholastic contest, not mine. But as I had a blast doing a vision board for Helewys, I thought you might wanna try and enter. I believe this is UK only but if you want to be sure, pop them an email and double check.

Now, handing you over to Lorraine at Scholastic!

Scarecrow Queen Contest

I have a contest for you guys! Because of the lovely Lorraine from Scholastic, I am very lucky to giveaway a copy of THE SCARECROW QUEEN, the third and final book in the Sin Eater's Daughter's trilogy by Melinda Salisbury.

Now, as you know, I am currently reading this series (I have, truth be told, only just started the second book in the series, The Sleeping Prince, and should be completely finished with the trilogy sometime in March!) so I don't want to go into too much depth about what will happen in Scarecrow Queen (spoilers!). But all I know is that the Sleeping Prince is tightening his grip on the land and the final battle is coming...

That doesn't sound like characters I love/am going to fall in love with are going to die AT ALL!!!

Anyway, if you are a lover of this series and want to win a copy of Scarecrow Queen, I have one copy to give away!

This is a UK only contest, I'm afraid (I'm sending this out so funds is a problem!). Like I say in every contest post, I am planning an International contest in the coming months. Just not sure when.

Anyway, back to this contest. All you have to do is fill in the form below!

This contest will be open till midday this coming Saturday (25th February 2017) and the winner will be picked at random via random.org. I will announce winner on my Twitter and will email the winner for their address so I can send them their goodies in a very shiny purple envelope!

To those of you entering, GOOD LUCK!!! May the Felix Felicis ever be in your favour!

I Can't Think Of A Good Title For This Post/Contest...

The world is dark at the moment. It has become a lot darker as the year has coming gone by, but it seems that in the last week, most of us have definitely seen the shift.

Because of this, I decided that now is time to try and throw a bit of light out there. I want to be a better person, and try and fight the dark.

So, I have a small international contest for you. It's not much, but it's a start.

Because of funds, one winner will win a book (or, in one option's case, two - again, funds) of their choosing from the shortlist I have created (see below).

I am using Book Depository so, if you want to enter, please check they can send books to where you live. This contest will end on Wednesday 16th November 2016 at 5pm UK time and I will be using Random.org to pick a winner at random. After that, will email to get your address and confirm the book you want. After that, will buy and your prize will be in the post, heading your way!

I know this post isn't my normal jokey self but I really think, after the week we've had, we need something light to help us fight but also to give us hope, compassion and empathy.

Good luck to everyone who enters.
