So, I have a question. About Lego Harry Potter (can't wait for this for my Wii!). Right, we've all seen what Harry, Ron and Hermione will look like in Lego form.
And, though we haven't seen them, we're going to see what Neville, Ginny, Draco and everyone else will look like.
Expect one character. One character that appeared in the fifth book "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" (because Lego only got the rights from years 1 to 4). This character: Luna Lovegood.
I love her. So, am wondering what Luna would look like in Lego form. Any ideas?

Michelle Zink's 30 Minute Writing Mission
On Thursday, Michelle Zink (an author I follow on Twitter), set up a "Thursday Night Write" on her blog. Basically, it was a test to see what we can write within 30 Minutes, based on photo.
Now, I couldn't do it on Thursday but I just had a go. And writing something within 30 minutes is hard. Very very hard. That's all I'm saying on the matter.
So, here is my attempt. Yes, you can laugh at it. I know that I am a rubbish writer when I rush and don't go back and check myself... So, sorry in advance for bad spelling and grammar.
My hands smelt of vinegar as I poured the used water down the drain.
You don’t want your windows to be covered in smears, do you? My dad always said when I first washed my car.
Those were the days when I actually listened to the liar.
“Hey!”
I looked up and smiled, setting the empty bucket on the pavement. “Hey Jacob!”
“You’re washing it?” Jacob walked towards me, his eyes watched me carefully. “You’re washing the Rust Bucket?”
“It’s not rusty.” I said back. “It has character.”
“Mm-hm.” Jacob eyed my truck with suspicion. “I’m surprised you haven’t scrapped it. It’s probably worth more as scrap metal than to run the thing. I mean, what year is it?”
“You tell me. You’re the car expect.” I replied. “And anyway, this truck has been with me through some tough times. I think Chevy should stay around for a little while.”
“Chevy? You named your truck Chevy? How Bella Swann of you.”
“You relate me or Chevy to the Twilight Saga and I will not be held responsible for my actions.” I said back, but I was joking.
I looked fondly at my truck. Chevy, a battered blue truck with large ugly rust patches, looking like bruises. I got it from my brother, Dillon, when he finally fixed it up. He started the job when I was fourteen and he sixteen. I was twenty when he finally finished the job. I never believe his “I can’t get the parts” story. I always believed he was born-idle.
This was the only true link to him now, seeing as I never saw him one month to the next. Him being at medicinal school and all.
“I don’t think it’s a Chevy. But that’s neither here nor there.” Jacob waved a hand and sat on the pavement in front of my truck. “So, what’s wrong? So wrong that you had to talk to good old Jacob Black.”
Jacob and I have always been friends. I can’t remember a time when we weren’t. We were like brothers, twins even. We knew each other inside out. I was there for him when he was stressing about his GCSEs and then his A-Levels. And he was there for me when my parents got divorced.
I sighed as I sat next to him. “Well, Taylor,” I started calling him Taylor or Taylor Launter ever since the Twilight Saga films came out. I joked about him not having Taylor’s muscles, and he would always joke that if he was Taylor, than I was Robert Pattinson.
I took a moment to gather my thoughts together. “Dad’s – Dad’s getting remarried.”
Jacob’s jaw dropped. “Sorry? Say what?”
“Oh yes. Dad is getting remarried to the evil Harpy-Bitch from Hell.” I said, coolly. But inside, I was spitting venom. It was her fault! If she never went to work for Dad, then they wouldn’t have the affair and nearly torn the family apart. Dillon cut all ties with Dad, as did Mum. But I couldn’t. I wanted to, but I couldn’t. “And that’s not the worst of it. He wants Dillon and me to come to the wedding. Can you believe that? The nerve!”
Jacob sighed a big puff of air. “Whoa. That’s… that’s… whoa.”
“Yeah, tell me about it.”
“Have you told your Mum?”
I hesitated. “She’s out of the country.”
“She doesn’t know?”
“No. And I don’t want her to know. Dear God, can you imagine what would happen if Mum found out?”
“I don’t like this. You should tell her.”
“And then what? Wait for the fireworks? God, it’s like the divorce all over again!” With Dillon and me in the middle of Mum and Dad fighting. Forcing us to choose sides.
“What did you tell him?”
“I’ll think about it.” I answered honestly.
“You said -? Alec, that’s worse! You should never have said that!”
“What? Why?”
Jacob sighed, looking heavenwards. “It – it just is!”
I sighed. “So what do I do?”
“Pray your Dad sees sense and marry a Weeping Angel from Doctor Who.”
“I’m serious, Jacob.”
“So am I.”
I rolled my eyes. “That would make life easier.” Sigh. “Should I tell Dillon?”
“Yes. You have to talk to him.”
“Dillon’s not going to like it…” I muttered.
“He won’t like it if he hears it through someone else.”
“You’re right. You’re right!” I held my hands up, admitting defeat. “I’ll call him.”
“Good boy.”
“Shut up, mutt.”
“Have you heard this joke?” Jacob’s eyes grew mischievous. “How do you drown a blond?”
He always blond jokes with me. I usually laugh them, seeing as I have blond hair. “I don’t know. How?”
“Throw a mirror into the water.” His smile was wide.
“That was so lame, I’m not going to laugh to that.” I stood up, hearing my joints cracks.
“Okay, that was gross.” He got up silently next to me. “Want to hear something else funny?”
“Not a bad joke?”
“Nope. Even better.”
I braced myself. “Go on.”
“Guess whose going out with Henry?”
“Henry?” I questioned. I knew three Henrys.
“Henry Edwards.”
“Oh. I don’t know. Who?”
“Helena.”
“Helena? Helena Weatherworth?”
“Yep.” Jacob looked smug.
“But – but she hates him.”
“Not from what I heard. Or saw for that matter

GoodRead - UK Cover Vs US Cover
It's time to do an impulsive UK Cover Vs US Cover! Today, it's "The Forest of Hands and Teeth" by Carrie Ryan.
Here is the UK cover...
Now, the US covers! Here is the Hardback cover...
And this is the US cover for the paperback version...
Again, no contest. I prefer the UK cover. It's much darker and its creepier than the US covers.
But what do you think? Do you prefer the UK cover or does either the US covers tickle your fancy? Leave me a comment!

GoodRead - Masquerade (A "Blue Blood" Novel)
After reading the first in Blue Bloods series, I instantly jumped into the second “Masquerade” (which is rare for me. I find it difficult to read the same author two/three books in a row). And yes, due to what I said in the brackets, it did take me a while to read this. But that’s no fault of the story, nor the author. When I actually sat down and made time to read it, I flew through it (Sunday just gone, from chapter twenty-something to the end. Am quite pleased with myself.)
Before I go any further, I want to talk about the cover (the UK cover on show!). I love it. I think it’s one of my fave covers within the series so far (though this is having a small fight with the cover for book 3). But I have a small question over it. Who is on the cover? Is it meant to be Schuyler, Mimi or Bliss? Just a bit confused. Sorry. Had to ask.
Now, the story. It follows straight on after Blue Bloods within a matter of weeks and Schuyler Van Alen is in Venice, looking for her grandfather, a man she didn’t know existed till just mere moments before her grandmother’s death.
Meanwhile, back in New York City, “the cunning Mimi Force” (that what it says on the back cover of the book. And I TOTALLY agree with that!) is throwing a masquerade ball – which is exclusively for young Blue Bloods (aka the Young, Beautiful and Fanged).
Bliss is struggling to come to terms with the loss of Dylan and her blackouts and nightmares, which are slowly getting worse. So much so, that when she wakes up, she finds herself in places of extreme danger, like drowning in a lake in Central Park.
And the threat of the Silver Blood is rising. What will Schuyler have to do to make people believe that an old and deadly enemy is alive and preying of young Blue Bloods? And is she getting any closer to the truth to who the Silver Blood is…?
I do like the Blue Blood series and this book confirmed why I like it. It’s very much a guilty pleasure and it is very Gossip Girl. And yes, I still expect Kristen Bell’s voice to pop up, but to a lesser degree than when I read Blue Bloods.
Also, (I forgot to mention this in my Blue Bloods blog entry – whoops!) I like how, ever now and then, at the end of a chapter, something pops up which, at first, has no importance to the plot but then someone mentions it near the end and you go “Oh!”. In Blue Bloods, it was entries from a diary from a young woman onboard the Mayflower. In Masquerade, it’s mostly newspaper clippings about a young heiress going missing.
A guilty pleasure of a fast read, I do like this series! If you like Twilight and/or Gossip Girl, this is your book fix you need!
Now, onto book three in the series, Revelations, I go (and the audiobook version of the Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink – but which one will I be reviewing next…?)
*
LAST MINUTE ADD ON! I mentioned on Twitter about the Blue Blood series is turning into my guilty pleasure of the year and I got two replies that got me very happy. One was from the UK Publisher, Atom Books (who rocks!). The other - from Melissa De La Cruz - that's right! THE AUTHOR HERSELF!!! (why yes, I am a little in shock!)
@AtomBooks @PewterWolf13 Don't feel guilty about your love of @MelissadelaCruz. It's good to indulge, especially when the treat comes from Atom towers!
@MelissadelaCruz I'm ALL about guilty pleasures. But why the guilt? I just believe in pleasure. RT @atombooks @pewterwolf13 MDLC is guilty pleasure of year
And because of that, I'm going to put two videos up. One that I kept hearing in my head while reading Blue Bloods and the other that I played all the time while I was in New York...
(is it me, or do the Darlings from "Dirty Sexy Money" remind anyone of the Forces? Anyone? Or is it just me?)

Random Twitter Moment (Doctor Who & Grey's Anatomy/Twilight Saga Related... Vaguely!)
I was chatting with a few people on Twitter about Doctor Who (so far, I like this new series!) and one mentioned something funny.
Doesn't the new Doctor (Matt Smith) look like Elizabeth Reaser from when she was in Grey's Anatomy (not in the Twilight Saga?)
She even made a photo to prove her point. What do you guys think?

GoodRead - UK Cover Vs US Cover
I entered a competition to win this book. Plus, I found what the UK cover looked like yesterday and due to lack of time, I didn't blog it. So, here I am, blogging it now.
Today's UK Cover Vs US Cover is for the book "The Curse Workers: White Cat" or "White Cat" (depending where you live) by Holly Black.
Now, I have heard good things about this book so I want to read this. And this would be my first Holly Black novel, so this book has A LOT to live up to.
But enough about me book-lushing, let's get on with the covers.
Here is the UK and (I think) the Austrialian cover:
And here is the US cover:
No contest here. The US cover wins for me! I think it's more dramatic looking compared to the UK cover.
But what do you think? The UK cover or the US cover? Leave your comments below! And while you do that, here is a trailer for the book! ENJOY!

Lady Gaga Meets The PR4L
I love Scott Mills! And this is one of the reasons why...!
(And I've been told that she's done a "Bad Romance"... Will find this on youTube and will upload onto blog! If not, I'll make video over the weekend!)
EDIT! She did do "Bad Romance"! It makes me very happy. But I love her Telephone version... what do you think?

GoodRead - Book Cover Excitement (Blue Bloods) & UK Cover Vs US Cover
The British Publisher of the Blue Blood series - Atom Books - have revealed that cover to KEYS TO THE REPOSITORY (a collection of "revealing short stories, journal entries, and never-before-seen letters about the vampire elite dating back through time." [Well, that's what Amazon.co.uk says].) And here it is, with the back cover and the spine!
I quite like this. I'm not 100% sure about showing us Schuyler (I imagined her differently) but I do like that fact they showed us New York's nightlife!
Now, before I go too ahead of myself, let me remind you of the US cover for KEYS TO THE REPOSITORY. Just to refresh your memories...
Dang it. I like the US cover too! It's more mysterious that the UK, but I have to say that I like the UK cover more!
It seems to me that Atom, when they publish books, they seem to go a little further with them... Let's hope they don't let me down with a few books that I want to read that are coming out over the course of the year.

Search Fail
I've done these search over the last few days! And these are the true results. No photoshopping!
The first search was for ECLIPSE (yes, I admit, I should have put Twilight Saga.) So why the hell did THE TALENTED MR RIPLEY come up as my first result!?
And this is the same with my second search for the new John Green novel, WILL GRAYSON, WILL GRAYSON. I don't even want to think about how I got THAT result, but I am a little creeped!

GoodRead - Book Cover Excitement (Crescendo)
So, yesterday, the cover of Becca Fitzpatrick's "Crescendo" (the sequel to "Hush, Hush") was revealed. And yes, I was checking the internet throughout the afternoon. And here it is...
I really, really like this cover! I have high hopes for this book! And I hope, like the "Hush, Hush" cover before it, that this is the UK cover as well as the US. Will report on it when I have more details!

GoodRead - UK Cover Vs US Cover
Blog Two of the day linked to UK Vs US Covers!
So, this blog will be of the audiobook I've started listening to (and has started to creep me out. And I'm not into chapter 8 yet!) - "Prophecy Of The Sisters" by Michelle Zink. Yes, I know this book has been out for a while in the US and in the UK so this is a teeny bit late. Oh well...
This is the UK Cover of "Prophecy Of The Sisters"
And this is the US Cover of the "Prophecy Of The Sisters"
I like them both. But I prefer the UK cover for the reason that it feels the dark, gothic feel of the story which I have heard so far.
But what do you think? Leave your comments and thoughts below!

EDIT!
Mere hours after I posted this blog, the author herself - that's right, the real MICHELLE ZINK - posted a small message on my LiveJournal entry on this. She stated the following:
Thanks so much for featuring Prophecy on your wonderful blog. I just wanted to clarify that both the US and UK hardcovers featured the first cover shown here. The second cover is actually the US paperback cover, and it may be used for the UK paperback as well. The cover concept was changed to appeal to a wider segment of the teen audience.
Hope you enjoy the sequel, Guardian of the Gate!

First of all, am in shock! She ACTUALLY took time out of write on my blog! I know she does this with all her readers on Facebook and Twitter, but this feels like a real honour. So, Michelle, thank you!
And second, she called my blog "Wonderful". *faints*

GoodRead - UK Cover Vs US Cover
I have several covers to do today so am going to keep them as seperate as I can.
So, let's start with ... "The Haunted" by Jessica Verday! Now, I liked the first book - "The Hollow" - and this is the second book in the trilogy.
The UK cover of "The Haunted"
And now, the US cover of "The Haunted"
Now, I'm going to be honest with you. Am not 100% sure of either of these covers. I like them both, but I have some issues. But I can't understand why I have issue with them both, because both are beautiful covers.
However, the more I look at them, the more I like the UK cover. It's the purple, I think - at first, it's very "in your face" but I like it now. But I like the fact that BOTH the UK and the US cover feature the same item - a perfume bottle.
If you've read "The Hollow", you'll understand why.
But, what do you guys think? Leave a comment please!

Books and Their Theme Songs
So, who does what I do? As a reader, if you're reading a book and a song suddenly comes up on your iPod or on the radio (or you just think of it) and it suddenly becomes that book's Theme Song?
Cos I do that all the time. As a reader and as someone who writes. But I'm intriguied on what songs you thought of and to what books? Am curious, so I thought that if I name a few books and their "theme song", you guys would tell me some books you've read and their theme song?
Sounds fair, right?
So, here's a few of mine with the videos of songs under it (thanks YouTube!)
Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare = "The Walk" by Imogen Heap (well, most songs on her "Speak For Yourself" album are perfect for the books!)
Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater - It's called either "Cold Fame" or "Cold Flame" by Band of Skulls (The title varies, but on my iPod, it's called "Cold Fame".)
"If I Stay" by Gayle Forman = "Off I Go" by Greg Laswell (I love this song a STUPID amount! I write to this song all the time!)
"Hush, Hush" by Becca Fitzpatrick = "Your Guardian Angel" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.
Now, it's your turn.

GoodRead - UK Cover Vs US Cover
JUST SEEN THE UK COVER TO THIS BOOK THAT I WANT VERY VERY BADLY!!! (sorry for the cap freak out! But I've seen it just now and went mentally hyper!)
So, here is the UK cover that I've only just seen THIS VERY INSTANT!!!
And this is the US cover:
I can't choose! I LOVE BOTH! I love the US cover due to the greens and the warm which is a stark difference to the US cover of Shiver (a cover I ADORE!!!) whereas the UK cover got my attention with the red paw-print.
I hate to say this, even though it took me a long time to like the US cover (due to the green), I love the UK cover (a shock for me, seeing as I dislike the UK cover of Shiver!).
Problem because I would like the US cover! WHAT DO I DO?! GET THE UK OR THE US COVER! Advise and tell me which cover YOU prefer!
